Customer Focus, As Seen By Henry Ford

“It is not the employer who pays the wages.  Employers only handle the money.  It is the customer who pays the wages.”

– Henry Ford, 1863-1947

H
enry Ford was much more than an industrialist who revolutionized assembly line production.

The driver (no pun intended) behind the assembly line system was pricing.  Ford wanted to make automobiles affordable for the common working man.  He had a global vision around the concept of “consumerism as the key to peace.”

Now that’s customer focus with a higher mission.  That is timeless entrepreneurialism.
