Nobody’s perfect, right?
Though we don’t always admit it – not even to ourselves – deep down inside, we feel our own imperfections.
We feel the flaws of those close to us.
That’s why as content creators, it’s important to show flaws in the characters we create. It’s vital to show deep conflicts in our heroes… especially in our heroes.
Check out my conversation with author, Chris Corbett, in the third episode of the Story Warriors podcast.
Chris is the author of Nirvana Blues – The Journey Is The Destination. Over the years, he’s worked on media projects for Playboy Magazine, Walt Disney, as well as on Academy Award-winning films and documentaries.
Chris doesn’t want his readers to just understand his characters. He wants his readers to feel them… to become attached to them.
Chris and I go deep into characters who are flawed and conflicted, as well as heroic and tragic. We explore how tragic characters can be a force for good.
Chris answers the timeless question of how to show characters, as opposed to tell.
Listen to it now, in this third episode of Story Warriors.
