“I was passionate when I was a pioneer, about authenticity, about transparency, about having real conversations and talking about things that mattered,” the former marketing agency head says.

Then it seemed like online marketing became a tool for sending the right message, not finding the true message.

“I felt like I’d lost the true voice of what social media was supposed to be. I didn’t want to put in the hustle anymore.”

Geoff Livingston knew he was at a crossroad. “It really was time for me to move on.”

So he blew up his Twitter account with 20,000 followers, folded his agency, grabbed his camera and hit the street.

“The artist in me was always wanting to go out and shoot that photo, to find that story.”
